Absolutely loved Spain!
I'm finally back home and I'll be posting a bunch of stuff from the latest trips to Perú, Spain, Mexico and Argentina. I'm going to start with a few more images from an engagement session type shoot that I did in Madrid as part of a private workshop I taught there.
I had a great time sharing experiences with local photographers and I'll be back soon... it's not very difficult to feel at home in Spain.
We started right outside the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofia.

I have to specially thank Virginia Gimeno (pictured here) for letting us shoot her sister Lucia.

Thanks to Miguel Angel Segorbe for the following pictures.

Lucia and Nelson, you guys were great! Thank you so much for braving the cold and the cameras!

Funes-Mendoza field trip
I'm taking advantage of the time I'm spending in Argentina to connect in person with a bunch of local photographers from different parts of the country and the first stop was in Mendoza. The whole trip was an adventure that started in Funes (Rosario) with a 12-hour drive. My buddy Mariano Leiva was in charge of the trip and sharing the ride were Mauri Maenza and Walter Carrera.
Needless to say I had a lot of fun during the entire trip, before, during and after the actual workshop.
I have to thank Diego Serrano for the invitation and for making this possible in his city and Mariano Leiva for his unconditional support. Hopefully next time I'll have more time to visit Mendoza, it's a beautiful city and as you may know its wines are some of the best not only in Argentina but in the entire world ;)
Still Travelling
Happy New Year!!!
Right after I came back from Spain I went to Puerto Vallarta to cover Jessica and Dan's intimate wedding in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico at this very cool secluded place called Las Caletas... of course I'll be posting more images from this cool and paradisiacal wedding but here are just a couple to get started.

Right after Puerto Vallarta I traveled to Argentina where I'm writing this blog post. While in Argentina I'll be shooting my niece's Quinceañera and will be teaching two workshops, one in Mendoza and one in Funes (Rosario)... talk to you soon!

Teaching in Spain - Part II
The second part that had to do with teaching in Spain took place in Madrid where in 2 weeks I organized a private intensive workshop. For the occasion I used the modern, chic, and very comfortable NH Las Tablas hotel. I have to thank Maria Garcia for her patience answering all my questions.

Photographers from different cities in Spain attended the workshop during 2 full days and half day of shooting. The number of students was limited to 15 so we had plenty of time to discuss many of the topics that were treated as well as specific circumstances that happen locally. It's very interesting for me to find out the way things are done elsewhere and I always learn in the process too.

Special thanks to Showit Sites for providing 1 year free subscription for all attendees! We talked a lot about Showit Sites and how to use it to create more value.

Teaching in Spain - Part I
I just got back from beautiful Spain where I spent close to 2 wonderful weeks teaching 2 workshops to local photographers and of course sightseeing a little.
My Spanish adventure started on December 3rd in Murcia where I was invited by MATFOTO Distribución, S.L. to share the way we do things in the US mostly marketing-wise.
I really get excited when I show up in a foreign country and I see so many photographers wanting to learn and take advantage of new concepts and tools to better themselves and their businesses. I know that the photographers who will put the effort to apply some of the things I shared with them will have a competitive advantage and a head start that will make them unique and I can't wait to hear their success stories.
I had a great time spending the day with over 60 attendees that came from all over Spain, many of them who I virtually knew via forodefotografos.com but now I know for real which is the proper way to connect with people.
I have many people to thank for making this possible for me. Juan Antonio Sr. and Jr. at MATFOTO, my buddy Antonio García (AG Fotografo) and all the attendees for their attention, support and willingness to learn.

Chatting with Juan Antonio of MATFOTO who runs the business with his father, great people.

Spaniards know how to eat and the guys at MATFOTO treated me to a Chicken Paella... delicious!

My buddy Antonio was my host and he deserves a post just for himself... soon.
